Power failure check on a wire connecting the storage battery with the generator
This check allows to define reliability of connection of plug "B" of the generator with positive () the plug of the storage battery.
Preparation for check

Include ignition.

|
For an exception of the further problems at generator connection, be convinced that in the course of check have not damaged two clips or their connection. |
|
|
Connect the digital voltmeter to plug "B" of the generator and to positive () to the plug of the storage battery.
|
|
|
Check condition
Start the engine, include headlights, the fan of a heater and other consumers of electric energy and read indications on the voltmeter.
Result of check

|
The voltmeter should show pressure 0,3 Century
If pressure more than 0,3 In, means, the wire has damages or it is unreliably connected to plugs of the generator and the storage battery.
For wire check connect plug "B" and the positive plug of the storage battery an additional wire to a fusible insert.
Check up reliability of connection of a wire to plugs, and also be convinced that wire isolation is not fused from its overheat.
In summary, switch off all consumers of electric energy and stop the engine.
