The general information

Power shafts transfer a twisting moment from the engine, a transmission and differential to forward wheels. In картере transmissions power shafts fasten шлицевыми connections with semiaxial gear wheels of differential. Fixing шлицевого a tip of the internal hinge of a power shaft in a semiaxial gear wheel is made by a spring lock ring. At installation the lock ring is compressed, entering into a shaft flute. After the shaft is completely established in a semiaxial gear wheel of differential, the lock ring is unclenched and fixes шлицевой a tip from axial moving. External hinges of power shafts fasten to the naves of forward wheels established on bearings. Shaft fastening to a nave is carried out by a nut with a fillet. For an exception отворачивания nuts the nut fillet is bent in power shaft dredging.

Hinges of equal angular speeds (SHRUS) are established from two parties of a power shaft. All external SHRUS – type Birfield, and internal – трипоидного or ball type. SHRUS трипоидного type are used for prevention of transfer of vibrations of the engine through power shafts on a car body. SHRUS are necessary for transfer of a twisting moment and indemnification of movement of a forward suspension bracket. Also, SHRUS allow to change length of a power shaft and to transfer a twisting moment under constantly varying corners.
