Control injection of fuel

Control injection of fuel can be made in position of a cranked shaft 90 to ВМТ. If the beginning of injection of fuel occurs less than 40 to ВМТ, fuel can be postponed on a surface of the piston and walls of the cylinder and to lead to its undesirable dissolution in engine oil. At control injection a small amount of diesel fuel (1 … 4 sm3) move in the cylinder in "preliminary conditional" chamber of combustion.

Efficiency of combustion of fuel can be improved and reached following effects:

– Pressure of compression insignificant to start reaction and incomplete combustion of fuel that, in turn, leads:

    To delay of ignition of the main injection of fuel; To pressure reduction at combustion of fuel and to smoothing of peaks of pressure (softer combustion).

These effects reduce noise from combustion, reduce the expense of fuel and in many cases reduce toxicity of the fulfilled gases. In case of speed of unloading without control injection of fuel according to compression the insignificant increase in pressure before ВМТ which reaches a maximum rather sharply in a point of the maximum pressure takes place only.

The sharp increase in pressure together with abrupt peak brings the considerable contribution to noise creation at fuel combustion in the diesel engine. As is shown in curve speed of unloading with control injection, pressure nearby ВМТ reaches some higher value and pressure increases with smaller speed. As it reduces an ignition delay, control injection brings the indirect contribution to formation of a twisting moment of the engine. The specific expense of fuel can increase or decrease as function of the main injection and time between control and main injection of fuel.
