The candle накаливания represents the protected gas-tight tubular heating element. The element is executed in the form of a tube with high resistance to corrosion and hot gases and contains the heating element located in a powder оксида of magnesium.

The heater element includes two connected resistors: a heater spiral in a tip of a tube and a management thread. In view of that the heater spiral keeps actually constant electric resistance irrespective of temperature, the management thread is made of a material with positive temperature factor (PTC).

On candles накаливания (GSK2) new generation resistance of a thread of management increases even faster with rise in temperature, than in usual candles накаливания S–RSK. It means that, newer candles накаливания GSK2 faster (850C for 4с) reach temperatures for engine start. They also work at lower established temperature, thus the candle temperature накаливания is limited by noncritical level.

Thus, the candle накаливания GSK2 can work within even three minutes after engine start. This feature of the subsequent heating of the engine improves engine work in phases of warming up and initial movement with the minimum emission of harmful substances in the fulfilled gases and noise.
