Control lamp of malfunctions (MIL)

With system of onboard diagnostics (OBD)

Control lamp MIL lights up in the presence of malfunctions in a control system of the engine. However, lamp MIL will not light up after three starts of the engine if the malfunction fixed earlier does not appear any more. After ignition inclusion (before engine start) the control lamp burns constantly that specifies in normal work of system of diagnostics of malfunctions. The control lamp with system "OBD" lights up at occurrence of malfunctions in following elements of system:

– To fuel system;
– A measuring instrument of the expense of air;
– The gauge of absolute pressure in an inlet collector;
– The gauge of temperature of air arriving in the engine;
– The gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid;

The control lamp without system "OBD-II" lights up at occurrence of malfunctions in following elements of system:

– The warmed gauge of oxygen;
– The gauge of absolute pressure in an inlet collector;
– The gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid;
– The modulator of management of frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine idling;
– Fuel atomizers;
ЕСМ.

Check

    After ignition inclusion the control lamp lights up on 5 with then dies away. If the control lamp does not light up, check up an electric chain of a lamp, integrity of a safety lock and serviceability of a lamp.

Self-diagnostics

Block ESM constantly supervises entrance both target signals and other signals under certain conditions. At failure detection block ESM writes down a diagnostic code of malfunction in memory and provides a code exit to a diagnostic socket.

(DTC) it is possible to consider diagnostic codes by means of a control lamp or scanner HI-SCAN. Diagnostic codes remain in memory to a detachment of wires from plugs of the storage battery or a detachment of a socket from block ESM, and also before their deleting by means of the scanner.


If the socket is disconnected at the included ignition, in memory the code of malfunction DTC will be written down. In this case disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery for the period of more 15 with therefore diagnostic memory will be erased.
